A documentary that traces the history of agriculture in present-day Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, northern Germany. From NDR Nordmagazin’s “Time Travel“ (“Zeitreisen”) television series. Since 1998 the history of Germany has been the focus of the program NDR Zeitreisen (“Time Travel“). As one of the oldest economic sectors in the world, agriculture is also closely aligned with Germany’s history, with many important modern developments originating in our country. As well as dealing with „nature“ as one of our most valuable resources, much of what seems evident today is the result of centuries of permanent change: cultivation, crop rotation, industrialization and increasing specialised agriculture.
