The town of Weißwasser, nestled on the border that Saxony shares with Poland. It is a place in flux, with a landscape dominated by strip mining. The moorland has to make way for the new. An entire village needs to be resettled, with everything being painstakingly reassembled in the new location. It all seems possible, and the new houses are allocated to the residents without a hitch. But what happens when a person has to give up their key to a place they once called home? Cracks appear on mirrors and projection screens. A round-trip excursion in black and white.
