Zwei Brüder leben im gemeinsamen Haushalt mit ihrer Mutter und ihrer Großmutter. In der über- füllten Mehrgenerationenwohnung versuchen sie sich jeweils ein Stück Autonomie zu wahren, jeder mithilfe unterschiedlicher Strategien. Ein Familienporträt, bei welchem die Zuschauer:innen über die Kameraperspektive und Bildkomposition konsequent auf Distanz gehalten werden. Die physische Abwesenheit des Vaters wird durch die Suche des älteren Sohnes nach ihm zum Thema. Seine Anrufe bleiben zunächst ohne Antwort, bis er eines Tages die Auskunft über den Aufenthalts- ort erhält und sich auf den Weg begibt …
Mateusz Buława is an independent director of short documentary movies and a director of photography for short films. He is the cofounder of the Apofi film collective and one of the authors of the Polish documentary edition of the project “World from dawn till dusk". He has won several awards at international and national film festivals.

Er ist Mitbegründer des Filmkollektivs „Apofi“ und einer der Autor:innen der polnischen Dokumentarfilmausgabe des Projekts „World from dawn till dusk“. Gewinner mehrerer Preise bei internationalen und nationalen Filmfestivals.
