A mother gives birth to a fish and releases it in a lake. Later, she has a second child – and this time she has a daughter. A connection forms between these two “siblings” that endures even as the girl matures into a woman and expects her own child. It is a corporeal connection, a dialogue, a letting go of something. This animated stop-motion short film weaves a tale about the cycle of life, death and the transitions in between.
