ist eine 22-jährige queere feministische Filmemacherin aus Kirgistan. In ihren Arbeiten verwebt sie persönliche Erzählungen mit poetischem Realismus und beschäftigt sich häufig mit Themen wie Geschlecht, Erinnerung und Queerness im postsowjetischen Zentralasien. Ihr Debüt-Kurzspielfilm My Love Lives on the Field (2024) entstand als Abschlussarbeit – eine zarte, semi-autobiografische Geschichte über eine ehemalige Fußballspielerin, die über ihre Liebe zum Sport und zu den Mädchen in ihrem Umfeld reflektiert. Der Film wurde mit dem Spezialpreis der Jury beim Bir Duino Human Rights Film Festival ausgezeichnet und beim UMUT Forum präsentiert.
Saadat Sataeva is a 22-year-old queer feminist filmmaker from Kyrgyzstan. Her work interweaves personal narrative with poetic
realism, often exploring themes of gender, memory, and queerness in post-Soviet Central Asia. Her debut short fiction film, My Love Lives on the Field (2024), was her thesis project—a tender, semi-autobiographical story about a former female football player reflecting on her love for the sport and the girls around her. It won the Special Jury Award at the Bir Duino Human Rights Film Festival and was featured at the UMUT Forum.

W swojej twórczości łączy osobiste historie z poetyckim realizmem, często poruszając tematy płci społecznej, pamięci i queerowości w postsowieckiej Azji Środkowej. Jej debiutancki film krótkometrażowy My Love Lives on the Field (2024) był jej pracą dyplomową – delikatną, półautobiograficzną opowieścią o byłej piłkarce, która snuje rozważania o swojej miłości do sportu i otaczających ją dziewczyn. Film zdobył nagrodę specjalną jury na festiwalu filmowym Bir Duino Human Rights Film Festival i został zaprezentowany na forum UMUT.

ist Fotografin und Regisseurin. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium an der Universität der Künste in Poznan und der Wajda-Schule. Ihr Projekt If There‘s a Tree, It‘s Pretty eröffnete die Fotografie-Biennalen in Riga und Chiang Mai, Thailand. Sie hat kurze Dokumentarfilme für National Geographic gedreht, für die sie eine Auszeichnung als beste TV-Dokumentarserie erhielt. Sie kombiniert gerne verschiedene Formen visueller Medien. Da sie in einem kleinen Dorf aufgewachsen ist, hat sie ein besonderes Gespür für Menschen entwickelt, die bereit sind, ihre Geschichten zu erzählen.
Aurelia Frydrych-Zdanowska is a photographer and director. She graduated from the University of the Arts in Poznań and the Wajda School. Her project If There‘s a Tree, It‘s Pretty opened the photography biennales in Riga and Chiang Mai, Thailand. She has directed short documentary pieces for National Geographic, for which she received an award for Best TV Documentary Series. She enjoys combining different forms of visual media. Growing up in a small village made her especially sensitive to people who choose to share their stories.
Aurelia Frydrych-Zdanowska to fotografka i reżyserka. Absolwentka Uniwersytetu Artystycznego w Poznaniu oraz Szkoły Wajdy. Jej projekt If There‘s a Tree, It‘s Pretty otworzył biennale fotografii w Rydze i Chiang Mai w Tajlandii. Wyreżyserowała krótkie filmy dokumentalne dla National Geographic, za które otrzymała nagrodę dla najlepszego serialu dokumentalnego telewizyjnego. Lubi łączyć różne formy mediów wizualnych. Dorastanie w małej wiosce sprawiło, że ma szczególnie wyczucie ludzi, którzy są gotowi opowiedzieć swoje historie.
