Theo Panagopoulos
ist ein griechisch-libanesisch-palästinensischer Filmemacher. Er lebt in Schottland und arbeitet dort als Doktorand. In seinen filmischen Arbeiten beschäftigt er sich mit Themen wie kollektives Gedächtnis, Vertreibung, fragmentierter Identität und Sprache. Seine Filme wurden unter anderem auf Festivals wie dem London Short Film Festival, Encounters und DocLisboa gezeigt. Im Jahr 2024 stellte er zwei Auftragsfilme fertig: einen Kurzspielfilm mit dem Titel The Key, der von Screen Scotland und dem BFI Network unterstützt wurde, und den Dokumentar-Essayfilm The flowers stand silently, witnessing.
Theo Panagopoulos is a Greek-Lebanese-Palestinian filmmaker and PhD researcher based in Scotland. His work explores themes of collective memory, displacement, fragmented identity, and language with both sensitivity and political insight. He has directed multiple short films that have screened in festivals such as London Short Film Festival, Encounters and DocLisboa, among others. In 2024 he completed two commissioned films, a fiction short called The Key, supported by Screen Scotland and BFI Network and the documentary essay film The flowers stand silently, witnessing.

W swojej twórczości porusza tematy pamięci zbiorowej, wysiedlenia, fragmentarycznej tożsamości i języka w sposób równie wrażliwy, co polityczny. Wyreżyserował wiele filmów krótkometrażowych, które były pokazywane na festiwalach takich jak London Short Film Festival, Encounters i DocLisboa. der 1981 in Australien geborene Filmemacher und Künstler lebt seit 2012 in den Niederlanden. Sein Fokus auf Film entwickelte sich aus seinen Videoinstallationen sowie dem literarischen Schreiben und Gestalten von Publikationen. Seine Arbeiten sind meist komödiantisch geprägt und zeigen entfremdete Charaktere, die mit Sprache und Wahrheit, Zeit und Geschichte ringen. Hauptthemen seiner filmischen Arbeiten sind vielfältige Spracherfahrungen.
Quenton Miller, born in Australia in 1981, the filmmaker and artist has been based in the Netherlands since 2012. His focus on film developed from his work in video installations as well as writing and designing literary publications. His films often have a comedic edge, portraying alienated characters grappling with language, truth, time, and history. Diverse linguistic experiences are a recurring theme in his work.

Lukas Marxt
Seit 2017 erforscht Lukas Marxt tiefgreifend die ökologischen und soziopolitischen Strukturen rund um die pränukleare Geschichte des Zweiten Weltkrieges und des Kalten Krieges im südkalifornischen Imperial Valley. Von 2021 bis 2022 hatte er die Position des Vertretungsprofessors für Film und Video an der Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf inne. Seine Filme und Videoarbeiten wurden bei zahlreichen internationalen Filmfestivals und Ausstellungen vertreten und ausgezeichnet, darunter der Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art und Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin.
Since 2017, Lukas Marxt has conducted in-depth research into the ecological and socio-political structures surrounding the pre-nuclear history of World War II and the Cold War in Southern California’s Imperial Valley. From 2021 to 2022, he served as Deputy Professor of Film and Video at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. His films and video works have been presented and recognised at numerous international film festivals and exhibitions, including Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin, the Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art, and the Berlin International Film Festival.
Od 2017 roku Lukas Marxt prowadzi dogłębne badania nad ekologicznymi i społeczno-politycznymi strukturami związanymi z przedatomową historią II wojny światowej i zimnej wojny w Imperial Valley w południowej Kalifornii. W latach 2021 – 2022 pełnił funkcję zastępcy profesora w katedrze filmu i wideo w Kunstakademie w Düsseldorfie. Jego filmy i prace wideo były prezentowane i nagradzane na wielu międzynarodowych festiwalach filmowych i wystawach, m.in. w Hamburger Bahnhof w Berlinie, na Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art, oraz na Berlin International Film Festival.

ist eine deutsche Filmemacherin, Künstlerin und Autorin. Sie studierte Bildende Kunst in Hamburg und Kreatives Schreiben & Experimentelles Filmemachen in Köln. Itzels Videoarbeiten, Objekte und großformatigen Installationen wurden seit 2009 in zahlreichen Ausstellungen in Deutschland und Österreich gezeigt. Die jüngsten autobiografischen Arbeiten beschäftigen sich mit sexueller Gewalt, den Folgen von Kindheitstraumata und (psychischen) Erkrankungen.
Suse Itzel is a German filmmaker, artist, and author. She studied Fine Arts in Hamburg and Creative Writing and Experimental Filmmaking in Cologne. Since 2009, Itzel’s video works, objects, and expansive installations have been shown in numerous exhibitions across Germany and Austria. Her most recent autobiographical works explore sexual violence, the consequences of childhood trauma, and (mental) illness.
