ist freie Regisseurin und Autorin. Sie studierte Politik und Filmwissenschaft sowie Filmregie an der Hochschule für Film und
Fernsehen »Konrad Wolf« in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Sie ist Hörspielregisseurin und realisierte hier u. a. die große Hörspielproduktion zu "Mädchen, Frau etc." nach dem Bestseller von Bernardine Evaristo. Ihr Spielfilmdebüt "Rote Sterne überm Feld" gewann den Kritiker-Preis beim Max Ophüls Festival und beim achtung berlin filmfestival u.a. Preise als bester Film und bestes Drehbuch. Mit einem Auszug aus "Adlergestell" war sie zum Ingeborg-Bachmann-Wettbewerb 2025 eingeladen. Sie lebt in Bad
Kleinen und Berlin.
Laura Laabs is a freelance filmmaker and writer. She studied politics and film studies, followed by film directing at the Konrad Wolf University of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She works as a radio play director and has produced, among other things, the major radio-play production Mädchen, Frau
etc. (Girl, Woman, etc.) based on the bestseller by Bernardine Evaristo. Her feature film debut Rote Sterne überm Feld (Red Stars Over the Field) won the Critics‘ Prize at the Max Ophüls Festival and, among other awards, the prizes for Best Film and Best Screenplay at the achtung berlin film festival. She was invited to
the 2025 Ingeborg Bachmann Competition with an excerpt from "Adlergestell". She lives in Bad Kleinen and Berlin.
Laura Laabs jest niezależną reżyserką i autorką. Absolwentka politologii i filmoznawstwa, a także reżyserii filmowej na Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF w Poczdamie. Reżyserka słuchowisk radiowych, między innymi znanego słuchowiska Mädchen, Frau, etc. na podstawie bestsellera autorstwa Bernardine
Evaristo. Jej debiut fabularny Rote Sterne überm Feld zdobył nagrodę krytyków na Max Ophüls Festival oraz, między innymi, nagrody za najlepszy film i najlepszy scenariusz na festiwalu achtung berlin. Została zaproszona do konkursu Ingeborg-Bachmann-Wettbewerb w 2025 roku z fragmentem z "Adlergestell". Mieszka w Bad Kleinen i Berlinie.
