Christoph Linke ist Diplom-Biologe und leitet seit 2014 das Staatliche Amt für Landwirtschaft und Umwelt Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Neubrandenburg. Mit Wäldern beschäftigt er sich sowohl aus wissenschaftlicher Perspektive als auch aus persönlicher Leidenschaft. Besonders faszinieren ihn unbewirtschaftete Wälder, ihre natürliche Dynamik und Widerstandsfähigkeit.

Following the international success of La Panthère des neiges, acclaimed French wildlife photographer and filmmaker Vincent Munier returns to the forests of the Vosges with his father, Michel, and son, Simon. Through breathtaking cinematography and an immersive soundscape, the film becomes a poetic reflection on the bond between humans and nature, the passing of
knowledge across generations, and the urgent need to protect fragile ecosystems.

Vincent Schmitt (b. 1976, Mulhouse) is a French film editor and director. Since 2000, he has specialised in documentary cinema, editing internationally acclaimed films including Oceans, Seasons, The Velvet Queen (Cannes 2021) and Whispers of the Forest (Les Chants des Forêts), winner of the César for Best Documentary in 2026. Alongside his editing work, he directs documentaries, experimental films, and immersive audiovisual projects.

Christoph Linke is a biologist and has headed the State Office for Agriculture and the Environment Mecklenburgische Seenplatte in Neubrandenburg since 2014. He engages with forests both from a scientific perspective and out of personal passion, with a particular interest in unmanaged forests, their natural dynamics and resilience.
