A spirited young woman with a handheld camera takes us down a ski slope and into greenhouses. Everything seems to be better than it was before…before the apocalypse, that is!

The climate crisis has rendered the Earth uninhabitable and only a few people have survived. Still, the few who remain have everything they need to enjoy life—like an indoor ski slope. The snow might be artificial, but it’s still snow! And there’s no risk of avalanches or snowstorms either. Those who survived love the slope, especially the young woman who shows us this brave new world through the lens of her camera. Everything is better than ever…much better than before the apocalypse. A documentary sci-fi comedy offering a glimpse into a future that is already our present.

CLARA THOMINE uses video, installations and performance to ask questions about the effects of digital media, the climate crisis and what status artistic creation has in society.
