The dokumentART – European Film Festival was founded in Neubrandenburg in 1992 by Latücht Film- und Medien e.V. and builds on the city’s long tradition of documentary filmmaking. For more than three decades, the festival has been presenting contemporary European documentaries, short films, and animated films, offering filmmakers and audiences alike a place for encounter, exchange, and new perspectives.
With its international competition, carefully curated film programs, and focus on socially relevant topics, dokumentART has established itself as an integral part of the European festival scene. Today, it stands for cinematic diversity, cultural dialogue, and the discovery of new voices in European cinema.
