Les Chants des Forêts (Das Flüstern der Wälder) opens the 32nd edition of dokumentART. Following the international success of La Panthère des neiges, acclaimed French wildlife photographer and filmmaker Vincent Munier returns to the forests of the Vosges with his father, Michel, and son, Simon. Through breathtaking cinematography and an immersive soundscape, the film becomes a poetic reflection on the bond between humans and nature, the passing of knowledge across generations, and the urgent need to protect fragile ecosystems.
For audiences in Mecklenburg, surrounded by forests, lakes, and the Müritz National Park, the film has a particular resonance. It invites us to look more closely at the landscapes around us and to reflect on our responsibility to protect them.
