Am 24. Februar 2022 begann Russlands Angriffskrieg gegen die Ukraine. Ein junges Paar flieht vor Repression und Mobilisierung nach Georgien. Doch die Flucht wird zum Albtraum. Nach der Grenzüberquerung beginnt ihre Beziehung zu zerbrechen.

The films in this competition block eschew traditional happy endings that culminate in marriage. Filled with black humour, self-irony, and hope, they explore the complexity of relationships, searching for love where it seems to end or where it is just beginning.

Winter in March
On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Fleeing repression and the threat of mobilisation, a young couple escapes to Georgia. But what begins as a journey to freedom soon turns into a surreal nightmare. After crossing the border and reaching safety, their relationship begins to unravel.
